Despawning of mobs including villagers after crashes.

Seen many other people talking about villagers despawning but it said they have been resolved. Game has crashed several times recently render distance is 20 chunks so don’t think it is that. My cows despawned when in a enclosed small pen approx 8 by 8 and recently two villagers that were right in front of me as the game crashed disappeared.
