I was in my base and my base has a lot of slime chunks in em cause my base is underground so I used stone brick slabs to prevent them from spawning but they still spawn on the slabs even thought for an example if you cover a swamp biome with slabs no slimes spawned but in a slime chunk they spawn even though it's a slab

I've had this happen countless times, using bottom half slabs and carpets. always seems to be the big slimes, and they are often unable to move due to being partly inside the block. there is also a very similar bug that can be recreated by going to a slime chunk and digging out a 2 block high area close to the bottom of the world, you will get big slimes spawning partly inside a full block in the same way you get them spawn inside half slabs.

This issue is currently happening to me in my Bedrock windows 10 minecraft world. I am building a farming sector of my base in a slime chunk, and slime keep spawning on top of either the slabs I have placed or the farmland blocks where I have crops growing. Please fix this bug it is disabling my crop farm from functioning correctly. I am playing on v1.17.41
did you use bottom half slabs or top half slabs?
