Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create New World in Survival or Creative
2. Craft Furnace
3. Smelt any Ore, Try to use Carpet and Wool as a fuel.

Actual Results:
Carpet and Wool cannot use as fuel.

Expected Results:
Carpet and Wool can be use as fuel.

Note:
Banners can be used as fuel, Despite crafted from wool.
