After moving enchanted Neatherite Sword, enchanted diamond pickaxe, enchanted diamond shovel, and two enchanted tridents to a large storage chest from my inventory, I saved and quit my game. When I returned to my game, these items were no longer in my storage chest.

I'm having this same issue. It's really frustrating as trying to get all the achievements on Xbox with my son and with stuff keep disappearing out of chests we can't get the achievements! Especially annoying when you leave a couple of blocks of diamonds in a chest come back to after doing some more mining and they are gone!
