Launcher Displays Ad for Buy or Trial version of Mincraft Realms

This has been happening quite often when I want to log into a friends Java Realm.I have already accepted the invite into the realm and have already spent quite a few hours in it.

MC boots up normally through the launcher. Home screen has the blue diamond on the MC Realms button. "CLICK" MC Realms page shows an ad for either a Free Trial, Buy your own or both.

There is no [X] to get out of the ad. Sometimes there is just a blank screen. Sometimes the Invite Envelope and News buttons come up. I cannot enter my friends realm with this ad in the way.

I have clicked [back] to the home screen, [mc reams], [back], [mc relams], etc. It does not go away.

I have gone from windowed to fullscreen, fullscreen to windowed, etc. It does not go away.

I have tried the F11 trick. It does not go away.

I have quit the game itself, logged back in. It does not go away.

What seems to be the problem and why has this not been fixed since 1.15ish? Any other advice for a Mac user?

I don't have a problem with the news or the invite envelope appearing. I am having a problem with not being able to close out the ad to play on a friends realm that i have already accepted an invite from.

This is still a reoccuring issue in the new 1.19 update. I cannot exit out of the 'buy a realm/free trial' ad at all. The small [X] that should be on the top left corner of the ad does not load.

I have to ask the realm owner to open their game to even join their realm, which I have already accepted the invite AND played numerous hours.

This has NOTHING to do with the invite and news buttons, it is the ad itself not allowing a user to exit and view a list of realms.

Please can you see if this is still an issue and if so please record a video of this happening and attach it to this report.
If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.
If you are on Mac (Mojave or later), you can use Shift+Command+5 to open a built-in app for recording your screen.
In case you don't have a program to record videos, we recommend using the free recording software OBS.
In case the resulting video file is too large to be uploaded to the bug tracker directly, please upload it elsewhere (e.g. as unlisted video on YouTube) and link to it here.
