High latency in Realms - almost unplayable

Ever since I purchased a realm, I been trying to get onto support to tell them their server hosting is poor and there is latency for EVERYONE, in the realm.

It's almost impossible to fish, bridge across lava, tower up, even to explore nether fortresses you get attacked by wither skeles before you can hit them away because of the lag.
It's SO infuriating the amount of times I died where a block i placed just disappears and I fall into lava/off a tower.
Once I hit a block/mob/player it takes about a second for the hit to actually register, or for the block to start cracking or stop cracking.

I tried to contact support for them to address this, as I don't believe this is a bug. This is just really poor server hosting. worst of all, i can host my own multiplayer world off of realms and it would perform 10x better except friends cant ever see my world in their friends tab.
regardless of that, I am paying for a realms server and it is underperforming and creating problems and ruining my playing experience, I have asked support for a refund because it's just impossible to do some things without dying.

My realm server has high latency and it's not only me in my realm who has it. I'm in australia, sydney. If you can test your servers in this area, would be good. thanks .
