A rather annoying and serious bug where going through a nether portal, not only takes a long time to load, but can cause instant death coming out the other side if unprepared or unequipped.
This has been happening numerous times where I would go through a nether portal and I would pop out the other end falling dozens of blocks because the world couldn’t seem to load in properly. If it weren’t for feather falling and fire resistance potions in my hot bar, I’d have died numerous times to fall damage or lava, potentially losing all my armor and items I’ve worked so hard to obtain. Please look into this issue.

This happens to me as well, whether it's going into the overworld or the nether. Sometimes like in your video, I don't fall and respawn at the portal, I'll just fall.
Or, I'll fall, respawn, and fall again.
Another issue I've had with the portals is "suffocating in a wall" while attempting to go through.
I had to use my recovery compass to find my stuff, and it was in some random spot where there isn't a portal.

Thank you for your report!

Im still falling the same way he did in the video's this isnt fixed i and several people on my realm have died due to this bug. you guys assigned this as a duplicate ticket but this isnt the same as a suffocating, this is free falling through blocks into lava... this should be a high priority
