I created a realm, but when I enter before my friend, music won't play, but he still can hear the music. But if he is on the realm, and I enter, music will play. But I mostly play alone these days, so I've being playing without music for weeks.
Discs music works fine, but if I go anywher, I just hear ambience sounds (water, lava, rails...)

If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.

I play on xbox one, so I think that I can't record it. And anyway, what can I record? Just me playing without music? It's not a visual bug. Everything have sound. The steps, the mobs, the music dics... But ther is no ambience music, not the old ones, neither the new ones. Just no music. A video won't help anyway

Steps to reproduce:
1. Turn on xbox one.
2. Open Minecraft
3. Enter alone to the realm for 2 players.
4. Realize that there is no music
BUT ,if player number 2 is already on the realm when I, player 1 enter to the realm, then me, player 1 can hear the music.
Observed results: THERE IS NO MUSIC WHEN PLAYING ALONE ON THE REALM FOR 2 PLAYERS

Thanks for the repro steps! What is your music volume set to on your Xbox? Are you using any Resource Packs or Add-ons? Please let us know the specific model of Xbox One you're playing on if this happens for you
I have a similar issue, on the main menu music plays but recently I stopped getting ambient or time activated music on a realm. Music discs work for me. I was getting biome specific music regularly while working on a base that extended down into an ocean but that isn't triggering anymore either. Cave noises also play and all other sound effects seem fine, just no regular music. I'm on windows 10 and Android (same realm 2 different devices same issue) and the realm does have a few add-ons but the music worked fine when they were added so I think this was as of 1.21
