The bug
World templates can "upgrade" a world made from that template if a newer version of said template is installed. For example: An imported template has specific world settings, and a player creates a world from that template. If they were to install a newer version of that template, then the new template's settings will apply to the old world if opened.
The specific case I refer to is in Marketplace templates: updates to content can be downloaded off the store page, and opening an old world will add the updated settings. This functionality does not work on Realms—the world is not upgraded to the new template's settings. The world must be downloaded, opened locally, then re-uploaded for the changes to take effect. Spark Universe has had numerous reports of users being unable to update RealismCraft on Realms; the 1.5 update (content 1.0.21) unlocked the baseGameVersion, but this change is not reflecting for users on Realms.
Steps to reproduce:
Provided in this report are two world templates. One is versioned to 1.21.30; no Pale Garden content exists. The other has no base game version set, so Pale Garden content is present.
Import the 1.21.30 Versioned Template.
Create a world from the versioned template.
Open the world and confirm that no Pale Garden content (e.g. Pale Oak Log) is obtainable.
Upload this world to a Realm.
Go to the Settings, into Storage, then delete the 1.21.30 Versioned Template.
Import the Not Versioned Template.
Connect to the Realm with the old world.
→❌ Pale Garden content still cannot be obtained.
Whereas performed locally, the following demonstrates that template upgrading has occurred.
Import the 1.21.30 Versioned Template.
Create a world from the versioned template.
Open the world and confirm that no Pale Garden content (e.g. Pale Oak Log) is obtainable.
Go to the Settings, into Storage, then delete the 1.21.30 Versioned Template.
Import the Not Versioned Template.
Open the old world made from the original template.
→✔ Pale Garden content can be obtained.

This issue still occurs on version 1.21.81, build 33412259. Following the reproduction steps, the world made from the template and uploaded to Realms does not upgrade the level data when the host connects with a newer template version. Performed locally, the level data does upgrade.
Thank you for your report!

The repro steps listed here do not result in the world being updated when the old template is deleted and the new template is imported, not even on a local world. The world still treats the Pale Garden as if it didn't exist. Are you certain that the described behavior still applies? If yes, could you please provide a video showcasing the entire process?
