Do you use add-ons? If so, how many? I’m curious to know if it’s happening to people that don’t use add-ons.

I had the same issue on Bedrock realms and in my situation, it seemed to be related to add-ons , and especially happened when either an add-on is updated by a creator or the game is updated by Mahjong. I didn’t use any decorative add-ons that used entities instead of blocks.

When it was happening, I would deactivate all of the add-ons and the issue would stop. Then, because I missed using my add-ons, I’d try adding them on one at a time to troubleshoot and determine which add-on(s) was causing the issues, then leave those deactivated, then try them again the next day to see if they would work. I had about 27 add-ons I was using without any issues until probably last month. So, I took it down to 17 and it seemed to work well for about a week, then another update from Mahjong or the creator of an add-on would come along, and the problem would start all over again.

It got very aggravating, so we ditched our world we’ve been working on for 2 years since many of the add-ons were furniture or block types, so that messed up a lot of builds with the add-ons being gone, started a new world, and now only use 3 add-ons. I bought over 20 add-ons that I no longer want to use in case I have to deal with issues again, so that was a waste of money unfortunately.

I don’t think I’ll be buying add-ons anymore unless I come across one that is better than ones I’m already using and switch them out. They push the add-ons as if you can use countless amounts of them, but when you go to settings to activate, you’re warned some may not be compatible. When there’s any updates, it breaks them, or they don’t work well with the game anymore and you have to troubleshoot to figure out which is the issue. It’s not worth the hassle to me anymore for the extra bells and whistles or the money I wasted. Hopefully they find a way to make add-ons easier to manage through updates and to determine any compatibility issues.

My advice regarding add-ons is that they are fun but be very picky about the ones you use and keep the number you are using in your world down to a low number. If you’re going to do furniture or blocks with custom textures on them, keep that low as well, because if those add-ons stop working and you decide to stop using it, you’re going to have builds you have to replace blocks on.
