Realms split screen not working on Nintendo Switch

For about two months now, our realms world will not let our split screen player join. It works fine for the first player, but when the second player tries to join via split screen on the switch, it seems like it’s going to let them in and then their screen just disappears and goes back to one player. It worked once about a month ago and has since stopped again.
