Every few minutes realm will crash and shows a message saying disconnected from server. We have tried manually choosing different servers, playing on different wifi networks, removed all add on behaviour and resource packs, removed all members, closed and reopened realm, even loaded past backups and it still continues to crash. New worlds opened don’t seem to have this issue so it seems it is specific to this world, kids are super disappointed that they will loose all their progress

Yes to loosing progress! It’s quite frustrating!! It we haven’t been using nether portals so that’s not part of the problem here
In 1.21 Realms bedrock, there is an issue where using the Nether Gate causes frequent server crashes and rollbacks.

Crashes such as these are logged automatically by the game or server and investigated further by the development team internally, so they are not generally kept on the bug tracker.

Having same issues. And tried similar fixes as OP.
Seems to be closely tied to Nether Portals as it happens all the time to me in the Nether. Overworld seems to not be as bad but has happened. ALSO I loose progress. Whether it is mining progress. Gathering Progress Building progress etc. It will randomly reset. Worst time it happened was I lost over a hour of play time. Rubber Banded me back to a previous save type point.
No Mods. No addons. Just Plain old MC. Never had cheats or nothing enabled.
