Very few or no mobs spawn when more than one player is on realm

I've been having issues spawning mobs, it's wired because when it's just me (or one of the other players) it spawns mobs just fine, afk farms work, mobs spawn naturally, etc. But as soon as another player joins nothing works right, farms that gave me really good rates started giving me laughably low rates, and trying to find hostile or passive mobs is like trying to find a penny in the Sahara, I dont know why it's happening or if it's happening to any one else
