Realms not working

I recently purchased Realms on Java for MacOs and it has been a whole day since. Ever since the purchase, I have NOT been able to access or create a new realm, not on safari or chrome and certainly not on the Minecraft launcher. In either case, there is always an error such as “Unable to redeem subscription. This could be due to network connectivity or a service issue. Please try again.” for the Minecraft launcher and “Oops, something went wrong. Please try again. If issues persist, please contact support.” for the web browser Realms. I have tried EVERYTHING online from restarting to logging in and out and everything else that is listed in Reddit pages and so forth. This is honestly quite disappointing granted that I got the game for my partner and I paid for the subscription for myself all for it to fail and be a waste of money. Please help, I just want the game to work so my partner and I can play Minecraft together.. Please help
