Shulker box placed on the ground disappeared in Bedrock Realm without player interaction

Description

A shulker box placed on the ground inside my Minecraft Bedrock Realm disappeared completely, along with all the valuable items stored inside it.

Environment

• Minecraft Bedrock Edition 26.52.3

• Windows PC

• Official Minecraft Realms

• Survival mode

• Overworld, underground base

• October 8, 2026

Steps leading up to the issue

1. I placed five shulker boxes next to each other on the ground inside my underground base.

2. One of the boxes contained several important and valuable items.

3. Less than 15 minutes after placing them, I noticed that the shulker box containing the valuable items had completely disappeared.

4. I was less than 10 blocks away from the location.

5. I was the only player connected to the Realm.

6. The other four shulker boxes remained in place, with all their contents intact.

7. I left and rejoined the Realm, but the missing box did not reappear.

Backup verification

I downloaded and checked the Realm's automatic backups:

• October 8, 2026, 19:30 — The shulker box was present.

• October 8, 2026, 20:00 — The shulker box was missing.

I was able to recover the box and its contents from the earlier backup.

Expected result

A shulker box placed as a block should remain in the world unless intentionally removed.

Actual result

One of five shulker boxes disappeared completely, including its contents, while the other four remained unaffected.

Additional information

I may have experienced a similar incident several months ago, but I cannot confirm whether it was caused by the same issue.

Please investigate whether this could be related to block data saving, chunk saving, or Realm synchronization.

Affected version clarification

The issue occurred on Minecraft Bedrock Edition 26.52.3. However, version 26.52.3 was not available in the bug report's "Affected Version" dropdown menu. I selected 26.50 (Bedrock) because it was the closest available option. Please note that the actual affected version is 26.52.3.

Thank you.
