Android Bedrock 1.26.52.3 disconnects when downloading add-on Realm resource packs

Error code: NetherNet — InitialConnection-122

Description:

I cannot join certain Minecraft Bedrock Realms that use add-ons and custom resource packs.

When I try to join, the game downloads the Realm's six resource packs (approximately 60.1 MB total) very slowly. The download usually reaches around 9–10 MB before the connection fails with the error "NetherNet — InitialConnection-122". After changing the server region to India, the download reached approximately 25 MB, but it disconnected again.

Other players can join the same Realm successfully. I can also join The Hive, Mega SMP, other large servers, and normal Realms without problems.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft Bedrock on Android.

2. Try to join the affected Realm that uses add-ons/resource packs.

3. Wait for the resource-pack download.

4. The download progresses slowly and eventually disconnects.

Expected result: The resource packs download successfully and I join the Realm.

Actual result: The download stops and Minecraft displays "NetherNet — InitialConnection-122".

Troubleshooting attempted:

- Cleared Minecraft cache.

- Tested Wi-Fi and mobile data/hotspot.

- Tried a VPN.

- Changed the server region.

- Confirmed approximately 70 GB of free phone storage.

- Checked Google Play Store for updates; it shows “Play,” not “Update.”

The issue persists despite these tests. Normal Realms and other multiplayer servers work correctly on the same device.

Please investigate whether this is an Android Bedrock resource-pack download or multiplayer networking issue.
