I placed some sugar cane on the side of the island for my farm, but I accidentally mis-clicked and it was placed in the water, so I broke it. I then realized that wasn't normal, and went to place it again. It worked.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-929, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved. That means that this is not considered a bug and won't be fixed. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.
