Logged in today to find big chunks of my base missing, huge holes in the landscape that if you fall in just give fell if world notices, I fell into one as I spawned and lost all if my armour and weapons!

Same here … we had a quite big nether rail which now is devastated by quite monstreaus missing chunksections …
Our realm is missing chunks, just as described here, plus it looks like some chunks have reverted back, and lots of crafting and construction is completely missing from the chunk. Hours and hours of work gone!
Just noticed this as well. Some chunks appear to have reverted to a previous state even though other chunks appear to be current.
Also happening on our realm as well. It started after a large, enmass kick of all players on the realm. Large chunks missing, certain chunks appear to have reverted to base map.
Same. We were all kicked off and then found large chunks missing, down to the void, and some chunks completely reverted back to base map. Weeks of work gone.
Reverting to a clean backup is not a solution because we did that, only to experience the same kick/deletion/reversion, twice.
it happens the same in my realm
