I have seen a similar issue related to the creating of the map and the zooming of the map. I am able to do these things fine without crashing. I am also able to take my empty maps to certain areas just fine and completely fill it out. However, certain areas will cause the server to crash and boot everyone when I am traveling with a empty map.
My exact situation is that I have a wall in my base with 6 1:4 zoomed maps on the wall. I am traveling with a 1:4 zoomed map to try to fill them all out. all of them seem to work fine, until I try a map that is for a territory that is mostly savannah. everytime I travel through this land and try to fill out the map it eventually crashes in approximately the same area. It is a savannah area where I get disconnected.
To my knowledge this issue has not been resolved.

My issue is a duplicate of another one. If you look under issue links, you can go see what is going on with the actual opened issue. Don't bother watching mine because they closed mine since it is an issue.
By the way remember to vote for that issue. A lot of people get on and comment, but if we don't vote, the team might not become aware of how serious this is. Vote for the open issue, and not mine.

I´m having the exact same issue, my problem starts when a player enter a savanna like place and the entire sever crashes, is there any update to this issue ?
