Bamboo goes through stone bricks/glass if the bamboo placement is close to an adjacent solid block, on the side opposite of the Piston. (It gets pushed out by the Piston.) Every once in a while a single bamboo finds its way out. I have an Operator/Piston powered farm with a Hopper Minecart underneath for collection.

We're actually already tracking this issue under MCPE-46746 so I've requested this report be resolved and linked as a duplicate. For future reference, general gameplay issues should be logged to the MCPE project unless you are certain they only happen on a Realm.
If you would like to add a vote and any extra information to the main ticket it would be appreciated.
