Recently I’ve been encountering a bug that doesn’t allow my friends or I to connect to my realm, it says “unable to connect to realm”. However I can still join other realms just fine. I’m unsure of how to fix this. This has happened around the same time for three nights in a row, around 1-2am central time. It lasts for around 10-12 hours and then fixes itself. I’m just confused because I’ve never encountered such a weird bug.

I've also had the same problem, last night at around 12:30am, still not able to access realm and the night before around (2:30ish am resolved it self by ~11 am in the morning when the kids started to play on the realm) (all times -5 hrs GMT). Tried on multiple devices (switch / android phones) and with house internet and cellular data to verify it wasn't the internet connection. Tried reinstalling on android as well with no change.
Exact same thing happened to me. My friends told me about this when they couldn’t connect to my realm. I didn’t know if it was just my internet connect or service provider, or even my subscription. So I researched more into it and I look at Downdetector. And it looks like everyone else is going through the same situation. Everything was just fine yesterday night for me. I just want Mojang to fix this so I could play Realms with my friends.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Issues such as these are often due to a temporary service outage, and are handled by the team outside the bug tracker.
Watch Mojang Status for official announcements, or Downdetector for community reported outages.
If there is no general outage, please first try to verify that the problem is not with your local connection or network settings. Visit Minecraft Community Support for assistance.
You might also try to deactivate any VPN in use, and check your firewall settings. If your device supports mobile data, try switching to wifi. If possible, try using a different wifi network.
If you are still unable to access a paid service such as a realm or purchased content please contact Mojang Support.
