Realms server maintenance reverts world save by at least 30 minutes. By the time the server message pops up and you are able to leave the world it is way too late to log off without the server reverting progress.

This happened to me last night. I lost an hour of progress on a skeleton grinder. They should give the world owner a manual save button that forces it to save the moment it is pressed instead of relying only on automatic backups and downloading the world locally

Minecraft Realms for Java Edition has received a lot of updates and fixes over the last two years, so this issue has probably already been fixed in the meantime (e.g. because it was a temporary outage or an issue with the base game).
Since this bug report has not been updated since at least two years, please let us know if this is still an issue in current versions of Minecraft and update the bug report if applicable. If this is no longer an issue, please let us know as well. Thanks!

This has happened twice to me in the last 24hrs and I ended up back at the exact same spot each time. It lost me a notch apple so kinda pissed. But mostly just, realms should be reliable, they are not right now. This needs fixing. Also, this happened on Bedrock for me so I think this is a general realms bug for both versions.
