Transferring a pet's ownership to another player.

This function isn't working anymore.  Before, all the person had to do was feed it and the pet was theirs. I have a parrot shop on the realm selling parrots but now the buyer can't feed it to take ownership.  Also when someone runs by the parrot it will stand up and fly onto their shoulder.  Also when some ones plays a music disk to make them dance they will despawn and the next thing I know it's at my base sitting on my shoulder and I'd have to travel back to the shopping district to put it back into my store.  Someone visited my base and must have left in a hurry because they forgot their dog sitting at my base.  After a week I tried to feed it so I could move it. It ate my food but I couldn't make it stand to follow me.  I ended up having to kill it. In any case I need to be able to transfer ownership for my parrots. =(
