One day i joined my friends Realm that i have played alot on without problem before, one day when i joined i logged in and after a few seconds i got kicked and it said server closed. But the server was never closed and was still up so i reconnected and the same thing happened. I gave up and turned off my computer and the next day i tried to log in and my friend was online too, I logged in and after a few seconds both me and my friend got kicked and it said
Internal Exception: java.lang.StackOverflowError and i searched around but only found a fix for when you are a server host but not a player. so i would like some help or something that could help to fix the problem. Thanks

Minecraft Realms for Java Edition has received a lot of updates and fixes over the last two years, so this issue has probably already been fixed in the meantime (e.g. because it was a temporary outage or an issue with the base game).
Since this bug report has not been updated since at least two years, please let us know if this is still an issue in current versions of Minecraft and update the bug report if applicable. If this is no longer an issue, please let us know as well. Thanks!
