when i went to start on the realm i share with my friends it asked me if i would like to download the newest update and i said yes, now all i can see is the sky and when i get close to anlimals they look shiny like the sun is reflecting off of them. when i place blocks i can't see them but i can see my bed when i'm near it and my chest when i'm near it

Are there any texture packs on the realm or in use locally? If so, does it work if those are removed?
Do you recall what update it asked you to download? A game version update would not normally work that way, so it might be a resource pack.
