Game crashes when i open it

i game has worked perfectly fine when i got the update on my ipad mini 4 until randomly new night. i had been on the app that morning, with no problem. i have had the game on my ipad for 8 years and have had no problems like this. when i open the game, it goes to the usual Mojang loading screen, then goes to the aquatic scene, and a second later it crashes. i have tried updating my ipad. i have tried shutting off my ipad and turning it back on. i have tried seeing if minecraft needs to be updated, which it doesn’t. i don’t want to delete the app because it will delete all of my worlds. i tried just letting it sit overnight. nothing worked! i need help!
