It's because https://mojang.com/category does not exist.
The correct link is https://mojang.com/category/story-mode/. There's no category for Education Edition on mojang.com
It used to lead to category/minecraft-story-mode, see http://web.archive.org/web/20151118150723/http://mojang.com
Besides that https://mojang.com/category/minecraft-merch/ still uses the old categories including 404 edu and pocket category links.
