Authentification servers are currently not reachable from Portugal

So in the morning everyone was able to play as normal, about 7h ago most of us if not all of us from portugal are getting the Authentification servers are currently not reachable error, nothing to do with firewall settings/services not running, we tested, as soon as we turn on a vpn we able to loggin into servers as normal.

I'll leave here the results for the cmd ping commands without vpns (portugal)
ping authserver.mojang.com -n 1
nslookup authserver.mojang.com n
slookup authserver.mojang.com 8.8.8.8

We able to play as soon as we enable a VPN so.. no host file problems.

Atleast 4 more people that i talked to in oficial discord have the same issue, all from portugal too.

Edit: Added some screenshots of people with the same issue.

If you try now again, does it work? Regardless of if it works or not, can you please run

$ nslookup authserver.mojang.com

in a terminal emulator of your choise again and give us the results?

Currently omw to by job for 8h, but tested using my phone to log in and I was able to this morning, right before leaving home, but for sure I'll update you as soon as I get back home

Thank you! Are you sure that it is authserver.mojang.com that is the issue for you? Could it be sessionserver.mojang.com instead? If you have a recent version of Windows, curl might be available. Could you please try this?

$ nslookup sessionserver.mojang.com
$ curl -v 'https://sessionserver.mojang.com'

If you don't have curl on your system, and/or if you prefer to use PowerShell, could you please try with Invoke-WebRequest?

Keep in mind all this results are done while working.

Did a invoke-webrequest to both session and auth.. odd result (even doe i can log and play as normal)

Thank you for running the commands and providing screenshots of the output. The error message you received when using Invoke-WebRequest on sessionserver.mojang.com is expected, as the status code of that request is 4xx. You did receive a reply ({ "path": "/" }), which looks promising.

At the time of running the command, were you able to connect to a Minecraft server? If no, could you please run the command again as soon as you notice that you aren't able to connect to a Minecraft server? If yes, could you please open a ticket with customer support in which you reference this bug ticket, and provide the publicly facing IP address that you are using? You can use e.g. https://ifconfig.me/ to find out your publicly facing IP address.

Is this still an issue for you?

Resolving temporarily as awaiting response, the bug reopens when you reply.
