Hi,
I'm trying to get logged in so that I can migrate my mojang account over to an MS account but I cant seem to get past the "Confirm your identity" screen when going to the https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile route.
Β
I can enter my secret answers correctly and hit the verify identity button and nothing happens. I can see one error in the browser console, I'll leave a screenshot below. There is a couple http requests being made after pressing the button, a POST and a GET, both are successful but both return 204 which seems strange for a GET π€·

204: No Content
No response for this status code. You have successfully authorized your location / IP address.
Also the GET request is to check if security questions are needed.
@Faav, thanks for that. Something still seems broken then, if the success response from POST suggests that my location/ip has been authorized then I would expect to be able to get into my profile but I still cant and the page just continually asks me to enter my secret question answers.
I think this is blocking me form migrating my account across to MS so would be good to get sorted/provided a way to get round it. The other report that the other poster is referring to seems like the same issue as me but has been resolved as a technical support issue, this seems like a bug in the site to me so not sure if its worth messing the actual support team.
Hey @unknown, I was able to reproduce this bug. But if you go back to the main minecraft.net home page and click back onto "My Profile", it lets you go through. The issue is that it does authenticate you but it just doesn't recognize it so it doesn't redirect.
Cheers Faav, managed to get past it now!
You want me to leave this open as its still a bug (dunno how you handle tracking this stuff internally) or do you want me to close as resolved?
Closing as Cannot Reproduce, as the issue is not occurring anymore to the reporter.Β
If you think this is still a valid issue, please comment on this ticket, so it will be opened, or create a new one on this specific problem.Β
Hey @unknown, did you use the bypass I stated in my comment to get through? If so I can create a new report for you.
I was encountering the same issue here, preventing me from performing a migration.Β However, somehow one thing changed just now (not sure on my end or on the server) and after clicking on "Profile" in the top right got me the migration prompt.
Thank you for your report!
