On the legacy site, there was 2fa. The website ran on JIRA. This new site also runs on JIRA, so I can reasonably assume it also supports 2fa. So where are the 2fa settings? 2FA access should be enabled for users of the bug tracker.

Because reports are made using Jira Service Desk, you are in effect opening a support query, which means you are not using Jira cloud itself, that is reserved for internal use only. Due to that, you can’t enable 2fa. Hope the article above helps explain things a bit more clearly
