Short description of the issue: In the official version_manifest.json, many early Minecraft Java Edition releases (e.g., 1.5, 1.4.1, and earlier) have their "type" field incorrectly set to "snapshot" instead of "release".
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Fetch the official manifest from: https://launchermeta.mojang.com/mc/game/version_manifest.json
2. Inspect the "versions" array for early releases (e.g., id "1.5", "1.4.1").
3. Observe that their "type" field is set to "snapshot".
Expected result: These versions are actual stable public releases, not development snapshots. Their "type" should be "release" for consistency with later versions and to avoid confusion for third-party launchers/tools relying on the manifest.
Actual result: The "type" field is currently "snapshot", causing misidentification of stable releases as snapshots. This appears to be a legacy data issue from when version management was less standardized. However, if this labeling is intentional due to historical reasons I'm unaware of, please kindly correct my understanding. Thank you.
