Hi,
This has happened in 1.8, but just once so far. My environment: Minecraft 1.8, MacBook Air Mid 2012, Java 1.6.0_ 65 64 Bit, Intel Graphics 4000 HD Open GL Engine 2.1, OSX Mavericks 10.9.5 (13F34), Minecraft Launcher 1.5.3.
Thank you again for following up with me.
Have a great day,
Diavel222

I did go through with the process of forcing my game to crash. I updated my post and inserted my crash log in the "attachments" section.
I have updated Minecraft to the latest version, and it is still a problem on Mac OSX. It’s quite rare, but I can happen.
I have updated, and this is still a concern in the current version. (My launcher is 1.3.9, and Minecraft is at 1.7.4, if it helps) This seems to be occurring less than before, but still appears in some unlikely cases.
Thanks for following up with me and have a great day
Alan
This isn't just lag with breaking blocks. This is lag that comes NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.
Most certainly isn't a duplicate and it isn't at all fixed. I want Mojang to see this and look into it. There's no point in having customer support if you can't get any suggestions or issues past them.
Having a fix in the next update would be great. because having these flat walls really detracts from the realism and true look of Minecraft.
If this was a minor update, why did I just hear from another support team member that there were ‘massive changes to the world generator’? He told me that even tiny changes can vastly change the outcome of the world. From his knowledge, this could vary easily happen from a small change. I just want to know why this is happening and if it could be brought to attention to determine a possible fix.
If I wander deep within the territory that has the flat walls, will it begin to look more normal in contrast to the rest of the world?
Thank you and I apologize. I simply wasn’t aware of this and had already checked for answers as to why this would happen, and I didn’t happen to come across this article. (the respond time is impressive)
Have a great day at Mojang,
Diavel222
Have a great day yourself and I thank you and so many others for creating and supporting such a wonder adventurous game!!!
Merry Christmas,
Alan
Actually, I didn't quite type that correctly on the bug tracker. When I say in the report that “they copied mine”, I actually meant that the maps turned into exact copies of mine. I had already made and mapped out MY territory. They came into the game later and crafted blank maps. As soon as they opened them, they just started loading exactly what my map showed, even though they live thousands of blocks away. Since they lived so far away, their maps should have started to render THEIR territory, and not what was on my map. (If that makes any sense)
Have a wonderful day,
Alan
Hello!
I am no longer experiencing these issues. It seems to have been fixed when
updated to a newer version of Java 6. Should I take my bug report down? As
far as I can tell, Minecraft is running just fine, and there doesn't seem
to be a need for my bug report.
Thank you,
Alan
