MCPE-149557 Bedrock not replaced in certain conditions Duplicate

Comments

This effect is also reproducible with a fresh 1.17 World.

My guess is that the intended way of Bedrock replacement is only between Y=1 & >=5 and only if the bedrock is solid until Y=1.
For example if there is bedrock on Y=5 but air on Y=4, the on Y=5 is not being replaced.
This has the side-effect that bedrock is not always replaced, especially on older worlds.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Generate a new world in 1.17.41.1 with the seed "-1957154863"
2. Teleport to the coordinates +7 +2 +4
(You should be in a water pool at the bottom of the world, where some parts of the bedrock are overwritten with water)
3. Upgrade the world to 1.18.0

Observed Results:
Bedrock, that had not bedrock fully underneath all the way to Y=1 is still there.

Expected Results:
All Bedrock between Y=1 and Y=5 prior to 1.18.0 is replaced with deepslate.

I wanted to create a ticket, but saw there was aleardy this one.
I also found MCPE-30324 and MCPE-117352, which are having the same problem.

It's exacly as Yottazoid describes (Minecraft confuses the : separators of the IPv6 address with the : separator of the port) and is still an issue in v1.16.210.

This also is a problem on all platforms, that lets you add dedicated servers.

I added two screenshots that showcase how the IPv6 address & port looks after putting it in and after restarting the game.

Happens to me as well since I bought the Switch-Version about a week ago. Logged in via E-Mail on an pre-existing Account. Minecoins and purchases also don't link to my Account.
