I lost a Librarian villager with Mending to this bug. I had a nearby nether portal, not sure if that is related to the bug or not. I don't know how to calculate chunks, so I am not sure if my villager was lost due to a chunk related bug. I traded with that villager fairly recently and did not travel too far away from said villager.
