Same issue. Could not interact with objects such as chests, hoppers, dispensers, cauldron, bed etc. And could not spawn any enteties - including mobs (through egg or command), paintings/itemframes, minecarts and boats, armour stands.
levers could not be switched (but gave off redstone sparks when clicked)
Interactable things that worked normally:
Doors and gates
repeaters and comparators
Other commands also stopped working (tested with /time set day)
When trying to place a bed, only half of the bed appeared. (tested on a new game, and this only happened during this glitch)
All happened after having tried to interact with some villagers.
The game froze upon trying to save & quit, and the savegame had rewinded to just before I entered the village. The saved world seemed slow.
