I have this too, as do both of my sons one of which plays from a separate Xbox1S one on my system.
It is INCREDIBLY frustrating because it also doesn't save my recent skins so I must follow all these steps EACH time...go into the marketplace and hit skins category, hit Y to search, type "teen" to search, select the "teen fashion" skin pack that has the free "Alison" skin, select that, confirm, exit to main menu then I can FINALLY start.
What a pain right?! It also doesn't save the legacy skin pack Alex in a dress skin-I tried that thinking it had something to do with it being a free skin from the marketplace buuuut nope. Nor the paid for skins I have. It randomly will save a few things to my recent skins but it's not consistent! I cannot get it to work in any consistent manner or I would just use the skin it DID save however Steve is always there taking up a recent slot, and most saved aren't female skins, only male which I don't want to play as lol.
FWIW; I tried to search for this couldn't find this by searching "skin" so I made a new report and they closed it as resolved/merged it with this one (provided me a link to this)
@Ceyla that makes sense and I appreciate the insight! I figured that if it was marked resolved it'd be discounted ENTIRELY by the team working on things, and they'd only see the singular report left, leading them to believe the issue is resolved not needing their attention
