I just had this happen to me on 13w05b on an Unbreaking I Iron Shovel, so it has yet to be fixed.

I was playing earlier and had the same thing happen to me: killed the spider portion of the jockey and the skeleton remained alive (as it should), but was invisible. Unfortunately in my case it also seemed to be invulnerable, but re-logging fixed the problem.
