Hi, I am having exactly the same issue after updating to 1.17.10. No mob loot from animals or monsters neither do I get any experience, too. I am playing on my own solo world in Minecraft Bedrock, Windows 10 Edition.
Oh man, it was my mistake. That settings option was disabled for some unknown reason (I haven't really touched my world settings since creating this world). Anyway, I enabled it and everything works now as normal. So this clearly ain't a bug, just a stupid mistake from my side.
