I just downloaded the game today and This is STILL a problem. On my laptop it says "You're now signed in to Minecraft for Nintendo Switch. You can now safely close this window." However it does not change anything on my switch lite. The same prompts still how up giving me codes to link the accounts. It doesn't say they've been linked. This is the first time ive ever downloaded the game and my only microsoft account with minecraft. Doesn't seem like anything has been done to fix this.
