Were you in creative mode? In creative mode, if you pick up items past your inventory limit you hear the pick up noise then they vanish, which is a feature and not a bug.
I found this bug about our new little bug aswell and it gets annoying with all the clustered leads after ashort bit o testing with them. But still pretty cool they managed to store entities inside blocks!
