Just for the record, there is still the connection issue in update 2.2.7447 for Windows 7.
We are waiting for any other news. Thanks!
Thanks for the reply, @Donuts1000.
I think this calms everyone's nerves a bit since until now there was no response.
Let's be patient, friends. 😃
This is part of the launcher log when you press the "MICROSOFT LOGIN" button.
Hope it can be of some help.
It seems that since the last updates of Sep/Oct the issue appeared.
Most of the reported devices are MacOS (10.11.6), but it also happens in cases of Windows 7.
We are still waiting for a possible solution.
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem in Windows 7.
I have seen that some people solved the problem by logging into the Microsoft Store app. Unfortunately it cannot be installed on W7.
If I remember correctly, I would say that after the last launcher update (2.2.5519), I started seeing the message "Oh no! Someting went wrong, and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services. Try again" in the part below the launcher with my logged in account.
A couple of days later, it changed the appearance to play in demo version (with my account still logged in), just like the image of @P00pyGoose.
I logged out and have not been able to login again as seen in the image [A].
[media]I also tried the same things @Jesus_618 comments, hoping for the best, but nothing.
As he says, I think it has to do with the interface to login with Microsoft, because with the Mojang option appears without problem [B].
[media]I have installed Minecraft on another Windows 10 computer and have logged in with no problem.
So I deleted the ".minecraft" folder from the W7 PC, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft on that PC. Then I copied and replaced the ".minecraft" folder from W10 to W7 to have the account information in the launcher and try to enter directly.
So now I get the option to select that account [C],
[media]but when I click, it takes a while to load and at the end I get the message "Someting went wrong in the login process. If the problem persists, check your internet connection. ", as in image [A].
Something curious is that after this point it would not let me select the account, unless I reopened the launcher or interrupt the internet connection.
In the latter case, the "go back" option [D] appeared in the launcher
and I could select my account again.
I hope this description can help a little to solve this issue.
I add that I have had that account since 2017 and that I migrated it to Microsoft in August.
Thank you very much for working to resolve this issue.
@Donuts1000, thanks for keeping us informed!
For this latest version of the Launcher (2.2.7957), the problem still persists on Win7.
Should I create a new report, specifying this OS, to track it there or just wait a little longer on this one?
