This glitch still exists as of 1.19 I've been able to replicate it 2 times although it is seemingly random its most consistent when using an elytra to enter the main island gateway and by doing this you will rarly spawn in the void beneath the other gateway open respawning and returning to the gateway it will now teleport you near the exit portal and the gateway in tied to it will be duplicated to the south
