Sorry for my late reply. No, it doesn't occur in 1.16.220 for me at least.
Even that would be a bug tho. But it happens even if everyone saves and leaves (at least in my case)
Encountered this yesterday as well (xbox splitscreen). Player was fine before then he signed off for an hour and logged back in and was able to walk and jump into blocks with a top half of his character causing a suffocation (died like 3 times when jumping out of a mine). Other splitscreen players did not have this problem.
That does NOT sound like the same issue at all..
It's on new worlds too (ofc you don't have anything to lose on a new world so it's not noticeable). Splitscreen players just don't seem to link with their profiles at all. Splitscreen players also only see grey LAN pictures in a pause menu instead of a picture of other players. They don't seem to get achievements and, of course, game creates new player data for them on existing worlds which means no exps, pets, inventory and ender chest content.
Since 1.16.210 this happens every time to every profile (before the update it only happened sometimes).
We basically can't (or want) progress the game until this is resolved.
For me this happened twice now. First every chicken in a world just despawned at once - from 4 hen-houses/pens that were loaded (possibly after a thunderstorm. Not sure about that). They even disappeared from an auto egg farm (4 chicken standing on a hoper in a 1x1x1 space fully enclosed and roofed... It was impossible for these to cross a chunk). And today, on another world, all hares disappeared from within a fence (there was a thunderstorm).
We are on Xbox and we play offline splitscreen. There is no way for us to reliably track/avoid chunk borders should that be the issue.
