Bug is still present in 14w17a, its not just a visual bug but also a functional. Can't detach the lead. There might be a change in how to reproduce it, the lead on the fence is only visible when standing north or west from the fence and facing towards it otherwise not. It isn't removable in all cases since there is no hit box for the knot and only sees the fence.
