Confirmed in the 13w36a
Mods please open this. Ninja update didn't work and they didn't include the fix for the server jar.
Confirmed
If you are running Forge then update to the latest version. It fixes this problem.

Confirmed in 1.6.2
I have a gaming computer and decent network and I have this problem. So this is not hardware related problem. I get this at nights:[WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?
This started happening when I blocked all the paths to my villagers.
I know how to reproduce this. This is a visual example:
Mob
Block<-----When you break this block and the quickly log out the mob will be stuck at the bottom block. Ofc after you have logged back in.
Empty
Block
Also I made a video of it.
Yep I can confirm that this happens in 1.6.1. But the actual problem might be the fov. I think the sprint actually works fine but the fov is creating an illusion that the sprint comes with a delay.
Jesper that is not a fix. It's for 1.3.1
Edit: Oops sorry. But you should have posted the new thread here
Confirmed in 13w23b
No lag doesn't cause this. I have stable 60fps and my internet speed is stable and fine(optical fibre).
I have Windows 7 and Java 7. Both 64 bit
Confirmed in 1.5 pre-relase
This is now 99% fixed. It still happens but if you don't pay attention you don't even see the bug.--->now there is no lines but in very dark places I can see little DOTS.But it doesn't matter 🙂
"I did the automatic snow piling thing, it looked awesome, but it just caused too much lag so I had to scrap it 😞"

Maybe this has something to do with the snow layers causing lag?
Uhh yes
"I've confirmed that snapshot w10 has less FPS than w04, but it's NOT because of the new smooth lighting... In other words, I'm lost :/"
-Jeb's Twitter
I bet I know what is causing this.It is the stacking snow feature because the lag started for me in 13w05a.
Still not fixed in the 13w09c
Not a bug at all...
I think that the biome color shading is not working correctly on the sugar cane.
