This issue is still present for me as well. As stated above, spawners work when initially found, for as long as you are near them. When left for a period of time they don't work anymore. I ran back and forth (about 100+ blocks) with no issue. When I exited and restarted the game the spawner no longer worked. Has happened with every spawn block I've found.

I am experiencing this bug to. I am playing version 1.0.0. Whenever i press "find facebook friends" the game will crash.
This is not a duplicate, I was not talking about always getting a black banner even if you pick block a white one, I was talking about banners not keeping their designs when you sneak and pick block them. They are two separate things.
This is still the case in 14w08a, and it happens on mac. It is ruining my map, so I hope it gets fixed soon.
