Before mods say there’s incomplete evidence or that reproducing the effect would be difficult - you just need to walk up to a Skeleton and trying to kill it while blocking its arrows with a shield when approaching it. You’ll learn very quickly how frustrating that is, and that you cannot avoid taking damage.

Happening to me as well! Shields are completely useless against Skeletons in this Snapshot!
