Gavin, I don't know, I usually turn some settings to fast, but not render distance or some other small ones. I've never tried texture packs or shaders on this computer.
I've never built anything big so I don't how it would perform with a lot of objects and blocks around.

Amplified gamemode doesn't give me issues though.
My FPS is pretty stable at 120.
