Cannot connect via external IP

I had previously been running 1.16.0.2 without issue using the default ports forwarded through my router. I updated to 1.16.100.04 and now I can no longer connect from external IP addresses. I have attempted to change the ports to a multitude of different options, I have also tested on multiple machines on my local network (2 windows 10, 1 windows server 2016), and I have tested with both IPV4 and IPV6. I have also tried a fresh install without copying over my configuration and world files, to no success.

Today I noticed the new release, 1.16.101.xx and tried installing that, both with my previous working world files and configuration, and a fresh un configured server. I had the same no connection from external IP results.

I have noticed quite a few people complaining about this issue with the most recent updates, has there been any progress on a fix?

I've not been able to reproduce this with any setup across both my own network and a VPS provider. If the server is accepting local connections but external connections are failing this is, in almost all instances, going to be a networking issue.

As far as BDS is concerned a local connection is no different to an internet connection so its not possible for BDS to be rejecting external connections and not internal ones (minus the use of offline vs online mode but that would be another error entirely).

In general these issues come down to either a failed upgrade (we have a number of users who only copy the new EXE when a new version comes out - which is extremely problematic), incorrect firewall rules (on both the host and/or the router/edge) and forwarding rules.

Is this still an issue in the latest version (1.17.11)? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).
