We have an active BDS community with an average of 5-7 players on at one time. After the 1.16.200 update and subsequent 1.16.201 hotfix, flying with Elytra has become a huge challenge. There are multiple issues reported by our members. These issues occur at random times with either no other players on her multiple players on. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for these issues.
1. Taking off and flying with Elytra is extremely difficult. For those who are playing either Windows 10 or Xbox, the player can deploy their Elytra, fire their rocket and several different things can happen:
a.) Nothing happens and the player does not take off;
b.) Nothing happens and the player doesn't take off so the player launches a new firework but does not attempt to deploy Elytra yet takes off flying anyway;
c.) relaunches fireworks while deploying Elytra, flies a few blocks and only a few blocks off the ground before stopping then takes more damage than is appropriate:
d.) takes off appropriately, flies at an appropriate height and duration then suddenly starts falling to the ground, re-deploy's Elytra, lands and then takes delayed damage, often causing death with a death message that says "player fell from a high place" or "player hit the ground too hard".
e.) Player deploys Elytra, fires rockets, takes off and flies the appropriate duration and distance yet suddenly finds themselves on the ground either dead from fall damage or with substantial damage.
2.) Lag from flying with Elytra does not seem to be resolved with the hotfix.
a.) While watching the CPU usage, a single player on the server can take off with their Elytra and cause large, undulating lag spikes. As soon as player lands the lag spikes stop.
b.) When multiple players are on line the lag spikes are the same just occur more often as more players are flying with Elytra.

This has been happening to me as well in bedrock 1.16.201. I’ve started backing up my game every time I log on because I keep dying mid-air. It appears to not work, then when I jump to try again I take off before I can hit the rockets a second time. And then dead. It’s very annoying, especially when it happens over the void.
